The Philae temples have witnessed the influence of various rulers from the Pharaonic to the Greek, Roman, and Byzantine periods. Thanks to UNESCO’s rescue project, the temples were saved from submersion by transferring them block by block from Philae Island to Agilika Island. Today, these temples continue to enchant visitors with their timeless charm.
